Im going to try to keep this short lol. I have naturally dirty blond hair, but I have been dying it blond for a while. I bleached my hair about a month ago and it turned out horrible! I freaked out and needed to dye it fast. I heard that if you bleached your hair and want to dye it brown you have to dye it red first to get some red tones in it , and then you can dye it brown. So I did, and it fixed the ugly blond but it had and uglllyyyyy red brassy color tone in my roots. I have been washing my hair with Prell for the past month, and it has faded the dark brown a lot! ( I have also been using Sun-In, I know it ruins your hair,but I look bad as a brunette and it has given me some highlights). Anyway, I wanted to know if it was OK to dye my hair blond (not by bleaching it). And should I get an ashy undertone to get out the red?

Sorry for all the confusion. I just need some advice, the reddish brown really takes away a lot of the good features I have. I need my blond hair back!

If you want to go from dark to blonde, you will need to bleach your hair and then apply a toner. Dark hair contains a lot red in it, and if you use a permanent color, it will result in an orange or red shade. Please have a professional do the two-step coloring process.
