I want to dye my hair, Mom won't let me?
Not a huge change in hair color, just a little red in my brown. Not like blood red, but a reddish brown.

My mom says that she doesn't want me too. Anyway possibly I can convince her I am mature enough?

    Thanks :)

You can act in a mature fashion, prove yourself, and then ask again.

How old are you? Are you talking about a permanent or temporary change?

Oh, probably just a temporary change.

I'm 14, I like my hair color, but I would prefer black. My mom says black would make me look depressed, and I always liked red, so...

The trouble is, no matter what other girls' mothers let them do or not do, your mother gets to decide for you. Many mothers feel that any cosmetic changes, including hair color, are not just meant to attract boys but also give the impression that you are too eager to attract boys - and that gets into sluttiness. It doesn't matter if it's true for you or not; it's all about appearances.
The trouble with hair dyes is that they don't always look nearly as natural as they do in the ads. They can come out awful. (These boards are full of women saying help!)
Ask her if you can buy the kit and do one swath of hair on one side. It might look good; it might not.
If she says no, then you just ask again on your 15th birthday, and so on until you are 18.
It has been like this for a few thousand of years, except that girls were sent off in arranged marriages at 14 or so. In some parts of the world they still are.

I'm just into fashion. Its not really to attract dudes. If he likes me, he can like my normal hair color or my dyed.

I believe you! I'd probably cry if it came out terrible. I didn't really think about that.

    Thanks
