Frozen pipes or pump going bad?
Over the last two days, our temps dropped around 0 degrees (f) and night. We thought our pipes at the well froze even though we had heat tape on them. We bought new heat tape, had heat lamps, a space heater and a blow dryer going on it most of the day yesterday.

Last evening when I was sitting there near it contemplating, I heard the pump kick on and in less than a second kick back off. A small trickle of water came out. 30 seconds or so later, the pump tried again.. a little water, then none. Over night, we shut off the breaker to the pump because we didn't want to burn up the motor. We have the same results this morning when we turned it back on.

Does it sound like something is frozen? Or maybe our pump going bad? Water logged tank?

    Thank you for your help,
    Cindy
