The right thermostat
Planning on installing thermostat RTH3100. I have emergency heat switch with reg. heat and cool. Will this unit work? My old unit has G, R, B, Y, O, Blk. And W wiring. Also what is the meaning of back-up heat, axurillary heat, and2 stage heat?:confused:

Hello I am having trouble with installing a new thermostat. I have an electric air and heat unit. I purchased a honeywell that matched. The only problem is that my wiring, which is aluminum has only 3 wires and the honeywell shows 5 wire connection. What do I need to do?
