Can I add pressure to a well water system ?
My water comes from a surface well 300 feet away from my house and 40 feet lower. It all runs through a 3/4 hp pump and I have good pressure for a sink and toilet.
Now I want to add a shower and was wondering if I could add a second pressure tank on the system to avoid pressure fluctuations. Thanks for any help.

One tank should be sufficient to operate these 3 items.

I have 2 full baths with kitchen sink and dish washer with no problems.

What is pressure (on/off) set at?

If u have enough water will be fine with one tank.

I'm on a well too with 3 baths, DW and clothes washer. You should be fine. Chances are all 3 of these items won't be working at one time.

Add city water to well system for sprinkler system. [ 6 Answers ]

Hello, My sprinkler system runs off an irrigation well system with a bladder tank. The well has a 1HP Jet pump that will only pump 8 gpm @ 40-60 psi. Howdy, I would like to know how I can increase my water pressure. My current system uses a well pump with a small pressure tank, and "D" control valve. It then runs through a WATERSOFT filtration tank, RAINSOFT water softner, and on the Hot water side, an AQUASTAR on demand hot water system. I...
