When can I change my cartilage earring?
I had my cartilage pierced on November 16th with a gun and I was wondering when I can safely change my earring. It doesn't hurt and I can sleep on my side again. It's not red anymore either. Maybe a little bit of pink but definitely not red. I can touch it and rotate the earring without pain and I clean it 2 times a day with ear care cleaner.

They say to be safe to wait up to six weeks after the piercing, you're doing great with the daily cleaning though..

Ok. I was told I can't put a hoop in for at least a year after the piercing but someone told me I could probably put a different stud in now. It's been about 8 weeks I think

I wouldn't put a ear-ring with a butterfly in back because your hair can get caught on it and cause dirt to build up and can irritate your piercing. It is recommended that you wait a minimum of 3-4 months but you can change it if you really need to 6-8 weeks after the piercing was done depending on how it feels/looks. Perhaps try a labret stud or barbell, they're a lot more comfortable. Also, next time you get a cartilage piercing.. GET IT WITH A NEEDLE AND NOT A GUN.

OK well I have my for say 3 or 4 weeks now and I could sleep on it but I just went away and for got the cleaning stuff it was OK but its better to always have it and also I got it done with a gun and it did not hurt at all with the needle it will hurt a lot more and then they have to put the stud in but with the gun its done in 1 sec and don't worry it won't break your cartlidge don't worry I heard a lot of storys like that and they are just trying to scare you that all I could give you and I am waiting until maybe 10 weeks to change my to a stud or maybe a bar ill see.
