    Kenmore 665 1603/ 1703 series not starting
    Hi-
When the start button is pressed, the normal wash light comes on, but nothing happens. It blinks when start is held down. I turned off the power at the breaker, but all that happens is the drain cycle starts. Pressing the Heated Dry and Normal Wash buttons alternately did not reset the unit, nor did pressing the Hi Temp and Heated Dry.

Contacting SEARS for any suggestions was met by a service call which I am trying to avoid.

From what I've read, it seems like the problem is the control panel or control board. Anyone know how to tell?
