    Relinqhishing custody
Hello, I have temporary guardianship of my adopted sister ever since my mother passed away. Since that time, her bioligical mother has re-established contact with her. My sister now wants to go and live with her mother. What are the legalities of doing something like this. I have custody here in GA. Her mother lives in CA. When I got temporary custody, I was also given paperwork to waive my custodial rights if I chose to do so.

You can go back to court and ask for the guardianship to be ended and the care and custody of the child to be given to the birth mother.
