Following a methanol ingestion of about 2 tbsp will it help if one were to eat something inorder to slow or eliminate some of the poison that would be digested in the human body?

I'm DrBob the chemist, not the physician, If you actually drank some methanol, call your poison control center or go to the Emergeny Room. NOW!
That being said, the fun answer is: get drunk and stay drunk for a while. This gives the enzymes that oxidize the alcohol something else to work on so the methanol can be eliminated unchanged.
Methanol can give a whole new meaning to the term BLIND DRUNK!
