Hi! I have been using Implanon since 13th Nov 2010, this is the first time I have ever used this and I know of the side effects but id like to know if anyone has any similar experience to me and if so what you guys did.

I have been bleeding constantly for the last 4 weeks, no break only slight change in heavyness easing off a little but pretty much constant. Im literally just getting over Swine flu too so am feeling really run down.

I don't know if to give Implanon a chance to right itself and see if it settles down or to have it taken out and get back to normal and better health also. The only thing is I defo do not want to fall pregnant, we have our 3 Children and we are done so I really don't want to risk getting pregnant by not having it in, even though were done having kids I still see it as very final to get the Hubby to have the Snip but what other options are there?? Mine was not put in on my cycle week, so it took about 3 months for things to settle to the point where I no longer have my cycle. I was at the same point as you contemplating taking it out. I would bleed heavy( like my cycle) for a week, light for 4 or so days, then spot for a week or two just to start the cycle right over. I would say if by the 3 month mark things haven't settled down, go back and see your dr. See what they suggest you do. But after mine finally settled out I haven't had my cycle in over a year!
