My 36 yr old daughter lives in another state and doesn't want anything to do with me
My daughter is now 36. I'm 57. We now lives in different states. Her father and I were only married three years. He was not a good man - he used to beat us both, did drugs, arson, murder... you name it. I divorced him when she was three and when she was five I remarried a man that was a good father to her and still is, although we are divorced, but still get along. Anyway, she left home in her senior year of high school, only to move in with him. I did everything I could - and had his visitation taken away when she was very little - to protect her. She hated him when she was little. However, he died 10 years ago. To this day she barely (every 6 month or so) talks to me. She recently got on Facebook and I have tried every way I could to get her to talk to me or call me... NO RESPONSE! It kills me. I love her so much. I have a 27 yr old son (second marriage). They were so close, although 9 yrs apart. My son lives nearby and is so good to me. He calls me everyday to see how I am or if I need anything or just to say he loves me. I am so scared I have no idea when my last day on this earth will be, but she does not lead a moral life and I worry she will go before I do. God, please I want some association with her and I don't know what I can possibly do except to die to get her attention.

Not really. She will call him if all of a sudden for some random reason, which may be every year or so. Is there going to be a fee for this?

Sometimes all we can do is pray for our wayward kids and hope one day they get better, and share some time and love with us. Yeah it hurts, but there is nothing you can do to control then when they are as grown as yours are.

Those feeling won't ever go away, but we can focus on the kids we still see and pray for the ones we don't. Never know she may get it together, she may not. Hope for th best.

Nope, no fee! You might get a range of opinions and advice. Be a good consumer and decide what is reasonable and will work best for you. And if it turns out not to work, please feel free to come back to update us. We can all put our heads together again and puzzle it out some more.
