Hospital misdiagnosis
My husband went to the hospital with severe abdominal pain, after waiting 4 hours he was told that he had an upper messentary blood clot. They said that he needed to be admitted right away and would die if not treated. They said that they were not equipped to handle his case but they had a doctor onsite that would review his case. Not medical experts we trusted that the hospital was doing the right thing. After 7 days in the hospital all we got was that the doctor was reasearching on the internet and talking with other doctors. We got frustrated and left that hospital and went to another one, he was there for 4 hours diagnosed correctly with a blod clot in the lower messentary. How do I dispute the dr and hospital charges for this? They caused undue worry, loss of wages, Dr ego and inexperience. Please advise.

I know you are upset with this situation; by the way it is messenteric, not messentary. You don't say how old your husband is, but suspect he is around 50 or 60 with high cholesteral readings, possibly high blood pressure as well. I hope for both of you his treatment included getting him on the right track with diet and medication and follow up with his own doctor.
Was this, by the way, a night time entry at an emergency center at a hospital; usually doctors are on call and experienced interns are on duty and should not have told you it was a life threatening situation.
We can't tell you how to dispute this at the hospital; you can hire an attorney who can direct you to legal proceedings but in the long run will cost you a lot of money, and at the end, no satisfaction. In my own opinion.
Be thankful your husband was treated properly and the emergency situation was avoided.
By the way, in which country are you located ?

US (Utah). Husband was treated properly at the 2nd hospital not 1st one, we are grateful that the staff there knew what they were doing. The 1st hospital waited from 12:00 pm until 11:00 pm when admitted. Not paying for incompetence is satisfaction.

Your going to have to call the Hospital Administer where you went the first time , and tell him you went to another hospital and they found it and treated it correctly and you are not , and you repeat you will not PAY FOR SERVICES THEY DID NOT PROVIDE AND YOUR HUSBAND COULD HAVE DIED AND IF THEY WANT TO PURSUE THIS YOU WILL TAKE THEM TO COURT . They Misdianosed and you were not treated right . I forget what the name is called but its when a Doctor misdiagnosed due to arrogance or not wanting to look deeper , it may have something to do w/ neglect . Make sure you talk to the administrator and make sure he knows you will not be charged for their mistakes and you have no problem going to court . Get all the paperwork you can from them first . Hope this helps.

It is fairly simple, notify them that because of their lack of medical care and improper treatment, you will not be paying them for any of the bills.
They may agree or they may bill you, and sue you for the money, then in court you defend your position with the evidence you have, and your doctors that will testify the other hospital mistreated him
