    Probate
My (UK) husband died without leaving a will. His estate owes more than he owned. I have been granted probate-letters of administration. He owned his own home and had a mortgage. It is not jointly owned/mortgaged. There is no life assurance/insurance. I would like to buy my own property and allow the mortgage company to repossess my husband's house which I still live in. Am I liable to pay off the mortgage? Can I request repossession? Do I need to pay rent or charges whilst living there as the mortgage payments were frozen. How much notice to leave the property would I be given. Thank you for your advice.
