    Pregnant and Getting Divorced
I am writing in hope of getting help in this wonderful situation I am in. My husband and I have been together for seven years, married for over two years. I am now over two months pregnant and my husband has informed me that if I have this child he is divorcing me. We have had marital problems and actually going to marriage counseling. He has now said that he wants custody of the child because I am unfit and unstable. I have been in personal counseling for depression over the last six months due to his alcoholism, being in jail three times, having four different jobs in one year, and basically driving us into debt. All of my family is back in Iowa and I have thought about relocating to be in a stable environment and get my life back. I am almost 29, a registered nurse for almost seven years with my MBA. I also teach part-time at the local college. I just do not know where to go from here? Can anyone give me suggestions? My family is being very supportive and my parents have actually said that I could live with them until I was ready to be on my own after the baby is born. Please pray for me and help me in the right direction. I am tired of hurting and I have to be strong now for my baby.

Get your divorce now and when the baby is born, take him/her with you back to Iowa. If your husband files a motion for custody, immediately file your own counter-motion and hire a good lawyer.
