What is the best way to attach curtain rods to a plaster wall?
I am not sure if this wall is lathe and plaster or if it is plaster over brick. It is an old building (circa 1920) so it could be anything.

If it is wood lathe, use hollow wall anchors, toggle bolts or plastic anchors. If the walls are brick, use lead anchors.

There was a lot of damage to a plaster wall in our house. The botton 4' of the wall is now bare (down to the slats that the original plaster was put on). Any suggestions on how to repair with dry wall and there not being a huge noticeable seam between the two?
