    How do I find who my brother's last employer was?
    He passed away recently in another state. I am his only surviving relative and we had been estranged for over 15 years. I only know that he was employed as a security guard but the home office for his employer was not in the same state where he lived. I was told that there might be a life insurance policy through that employer and if so, it would pay his final expenses.

    If you know his SSN you can try contacting the SSA,
