    My daughter
Hello. I am a mother with 2 kids. My daughter is 13 years old but small for her age. She only weighs about 80 lbs. and small chested. I believe some kids at school make fun of her. We live in a asmall town but most of her friends are bigger and more developed. Do have any advice about how she can get through it.

It is sad to face how kids can be cruel to one another, but they are. Middle school children are going through the most difficult time of their life and it can be extremely rough. Your daughter could discuss this situation with a school counselor or even the soicial worker to get their advice. You will continue to be a guiding force for many more years. Your emotional support and love will help her a great deal. Tell her how you got through your difficult times as a teenager.

Yes, kids are bad to one another, and those that are not part of the "in" group can be treated like leapers in society.

And it is a lot of others, which don't make her feel better I know, but the nerd with glasses, the one with a home hair cut, the ones with clothes from good will and so on all get picked on.

Knowing she is loved at home and knowing that the world is not perfect but all we can do is the best we can. Knowing there is a safe and loving haven at home is always so important, and it seem she has that from what I can assume from your post

I work with a woman who has a small child or should I say small young adult. She is 19, but looks like she is 13yrs. Sorry, I do not have any advice about how to block out mean kids, however, check her height, if she is not very tall, she may be able to go to college for fee for dorfism. I'm not making fun, college is very expensive. Tell her it is better to be small then to be large. I know, my daughter is bigger than most of the kids in her class and she is very sensitive about it. Kids need to know you are there for them, just tell her how special she is and encurage her to be the best she can be.
