    Membrane over wonderboard
So I got my vapor up and wonderboard installed. Do I need a membrane such as Schulter Kerdi over the wonderboard. It appears not everyone uses it and some do so I'm wanting you input. Thanks.

Is this in a shower or what? In most cases, if you are tiling in a wet area, you tape the seams with thin set and special tape for concrete board.

Yes, this is a shower. I only ask this question because I see some who use it and others don't even mention it.

If you install your wonderboard, cementboard, hardiebacker board correctly the membrane is not necessary. If you never installed cementboard and are a little unsure of your skills then the membrane will give you piece of mind.

Thanks for the info. I purchased the membrane and will install today. Wanted the extra security of no leaks.
