    Adding a loft light
Today I thought I would put a light in my loft, however, this job turned out to be harder than I thought. Afer fitting light fittings and pull switch I ran the live feed down to what I thought was the main power wire for upstairs lights. After cutting this wire expecting to find the 'normal' brown, blue and earth, I found it was a four core cable with black, brown, grey and earth, my problem is how do I connect my loft lights into the junction box I now have. Please help!

It would help to mention that you are not in the US or Canada.

We have some members from the UK and EU but the majority of folks are from North America.

Sorry I can't be of any help.
