    How to file complaint employer cannot be contacted after signing contract
    I am an independent contractor for a company, after signing the contract of agreement and agreeing on a date to start working, the employer cannot be contacted through email, text, call, linkedin twitter etc. how can I file complaint? Is it a form of breach of contract?

    Or even worst, they were a fake company that got your identity info, when you filed out a I9 form they got all of your social security info, and perhaps even bank info if you supplied that for them to do a direct deposit.

    It is a very common scam going on for a company to set up a fake web site, and put job wanted postings on places lke craigs list. When you apply they hire you, but want you to supply all sorts of date that woud really normaly be used.

    Also of course, they may merely be closed though the new year, some companies, close from christmas through the new years.

    Is it a breach, only if the contract says they have to respond in a certain amount of time.

    So what type of job is this, some of the more common scam jobs are the ones where you go and inspect real estate, to take photos and see if anyone is living there
