    CPT F1 Pay stub errors
    Hi,
I am a F1 student and I was working full time on CPT in summer 2010 and part time from mid Aug to mid Sep 2010. The owner of the company was paying me as checks for every two weeks (he did not cut any taxes and there was no pay stub). I requested that the taxes may be cut and I needed a W-2 for filing taxes. When I was done with the internship, he generated a pay stub with a total of $16,000 and taxes cut for $16,000 (around $4000 for taxes). The pay stub was dated some time after my internship dates in the I-20. Also he paid me $18,000 as salary. But his pay stub showed only $16,000 in total. He told me that I would get a W-2 for $16,000. Would I be in trouble ?

No, not really. If he generates the W-2 as required, then the date of the checks and final pay stub really does not matter.
