Hi all, so I noticed a lot of chemistry with a girl I worked with. I asked girls about you know, if a girl does this and that is she interested, the answer was a definite yes so we spoke about it and agreed to meet outside of work. She's quite reserved but kissed me in front of everyone (no tongue) when we spoke about it, so I was left thinking this might go somewhere - as we know each other quite well now.

Anyway, the last thing she says to me is lets wait until after xmas as she'll be out of town. I figured that was a bit strange but kept it to myself. I rang her and left a teasing, funny voicemail after 3 days as I wanted to and figured it was kind of the right thing to do. No response, OK that's nothing new to me, but I still don't understand why I'm being cut off. That might be the most quick anyone has been dumped ever before the first date and I have no idea why. We will be working in different places from January so will not see each other...

I decided I've done enough and won't contact her again... ever... the ball is in her court just so I can forget about the whole thing as I have a lot of other stuff to worry about and I hate being distracted. To confirm this, I removed her from my phone so I really have no choice now. I'm not really thinking if I'm doing the right thing, I figure if she hasn't contacted me by like mid January then screw it. If she's interested she would realise - hey I've been ignoring this guy no wonder he has not called again and call me right? I don't get women, maybe she met someonw or has a lover in her hometown she sees when she is in town just while she is single.

Well, I'd say you could send a brief "Happy Christmas" text or e-mail, and then leave it up to her.

It's possible she really did like you, but there may have been someone else she was involved with, or even she just decided that if she working away from her, it would be more trouble than it's worth.

Yeah I figured it was some sort of complication, she said she wanted to get involved with me. Said it straight up, and she said there was no one else - I guess she lied, about one or the other. Never mind, move on.

Most likely she has a full calendar for Christmas, which would have been planned well in advance. She said to wait until after Christmas, which I would presume to mean when she has time to catch her breath, and time to make plans to go on a date with you.

I wouldn't read anything else into it, including disappointment, rejection, or meaning that could very well be wrong.

Try not to cut yourself short by being too interested, but, I would hold out for the possibility that she may contact you yet.

I can't believe you keep IGNORING THAT fact and have let your mind wander so far into fantasy land that you are loopy.
