    Mother maiden name , newborn
    Hello,

    I have a newborn in Muscat, My spouse has her maiden name on the passport. I got Birth certificate for the new born from Muscat Govt ,which has parents name showing my spouse maiden name , as her residence cards was registered on her maiden name.

    Kindly let me know the procedure for making a new passport for my newborn with my spouse current family name.

    She will have to reapply. And on the application state the reason. Legal Name Change. Just like any other cards she may carry so long as the name is legal.
