    Generator won't run wall heaters?
Any ideas on what is wrong with our generator? Previously we could run small wall heaters (there are 4, each in separate rooms), as well as our overhead lights. We didn't run things like the washer and dryer, dishwasher, etc. But this last week when electricity went out again, the wall heaters and most of our overhead lights would not run when generator was on, like they were not getting enough power from the generator to run. Generator is about 3 yrs.old and we just had it checked out and maintenance done on it about three months ago. At that time the mechanic said there was water in the gas tank, so he totally drained it and got it running again (before this we were having trouble getting it to start and stay running.) After this my husband built a little carport-like apparatus to keep the rain out of the gas tank. This past week is the second time we ran the generator since it was at the mechanic's and since it has been stored in its new storage place. Any ideas as to what is going on and how to fix it? Many thanks.

Hopefully the generator is connected to the regular power through a transfer switch, VERY important to do so. Has anyone checked the generator output, 120 and 240 Volt? What is the current rating? We need a little more info.
