OK I'm 18 and have a son but I have so much high expectations on guys now that I'm a mother I feel I ask for too much is that bad?

What does bad or good have to do with this? Your expectations are so high that you aren't finding a boyfriend. Nothing bad or wrong or anything about it. It just is.
It gets even more difficult if the man is going to be expected to provide for both of you.
Put your energy into motherhood for now and keep your life open and just wait. Perhaps take an online course in something that could lead to a career.

Agree with the already posted comment.

From knowing a few women with kids, whom have wanted to date, and who I have been interested in, I can say from the guys' perspective, that it's a bit more difficult and tougher situation trying to date someone who has a kid. The extra kicker, is if the kid isn't yours. I'm not saying go out and make a kid with some guy to cement yourself to him. It just takes the right kind of guy. I found out I am not that type, but they are out there. As joy said, use your time to focus on you for now. Looking for someone usual doesn't help in finding someone, as ironic as that is.
