    Downstairs shower backing up
Just moved in and everything was fine. About a week ago noticed what looked like dried toilet paper in downstairs shower. Now, it's fully backed up, washing machine on same floor back it up, toilet upstairs flushes fine but back up sewage into shower.

We snaked from toilet to main city sewer line and pulled out some roots. Can't get snake through shower drain. Do we need to snake from roof?

    Help!

Your blockage is downstream from both the shower and the washer which ,if I understand you correctly, is backing up also. Is the washer downstream from the shower or is it the other way around. This can be reached from either the lavatory or the washer roof vent,
Put out enough snake to reach the base and 18 feet more. Good luck, Tom
