When can you file for abandonment in Alabama?
I have been married for 1 year and 4 months. I am seven months pregnant with my first child. I have been living with my parents for six months because I left the house my husband and I were living in because it had mold, and was in general unsafe for me to be in, and not safe for a new baby. Now, our relationship has hit a low point and the word "divorce" is being thrown around a lot. A friend of mine told me to file first, because if not, he can file abandonment charges on me. Is this true?

Abandonment means leaving without any contact WHATSOEVER!! If you have been communicating, it is not abandonment. When someone abandons another, they leave no way of communicating or contact information. So, NO he cannot file abandonment charges.
