    I can't deposit my check
    My bank won't cash my deposit check because my brother is on it. He does not want to be found so he can not endorse it. How do I get this check solely in my name I funded the original deposit. How do they move past the legal obligation?

    What do you mean your brother is on it? Do you mean it was written to him and he gave it to you?

    It's not double endorsed. It's a double paid-to-the-order-of.

    Who issued the check? Can that person or institution issue another one only to you?

    Sorry but your brother will have to come out of hiding and sign it. If not you will have to have the place that issued the check, re-issue one in your name only
