I am making myself physically sick due to talking myself out of going to work.
I am an educated, intelligent person who does the most stupid thing. I feel helpless to stop. The problem is that in the morning I talk myself out of going to work. Needless to say, it has cost my jobs and is deleteriously affecting my health. A couple of hours after not going to work I feel angry with myself and promise I will never do it again. At night, I honestly have every intention to going to work in the morning, but in the morning, I talk myself out of going to work. If anyone has any helpful suggestions, please let me.

Have you considered working for yourself?

I'm assuming you are talking yourself out of going to work because you hate your work.

I used to have a job like that. I switched to working for myself in a completely different field. Even though I took a huge drop in income for the first year, it was still a good move for me, I loved my work again, and all my stress migraines disappeared.

Is there something at work (or even with getting there) that you're trying to avoid?
