Shoplifting and how can I pay my payment
I was going through rough emotional times, which lead me to the stupid decision to shoplift. I got out of the store tan store's security guards approached me and I went back to the store and gave back what I took. Hey took my drivers' license information and called the police to confirm that I was a first time offender. They then took my picture and told me I could not return to the store for 2 years. This was on mid Nov. still I haven't receive any bill, I'm very upset.
And I'm wondering is if this will end up on my criminal record, or any other databases. If it does, then for how long? I'm a university student and I want to know how this will effect me.

If you were not charged, if you do not either go to court or plead guilty then there is no record other than in store.

I don't think you will ever receive your bill. Too long ago. If no police were called you do not have a criminal record just a ban. Your info probably in file somewhere. Same happened to me. I am really paranoid! X Hope that helped and hope you are OK! X

Until you are officially charged by the police there is no criminal record. It is certainly still possible that the store will send you a bill as a penalty. There is nothing you can do until they do that.
