Hot Water Bangs and then Stops
Not sure if anyone will get this now but I have a similar problem, in one of my upstairs bathrooms. Both sinks in my ensuite are running fine. When I turn on the cold water in my kids bathroom there is not sound or banging, however when I turn on the hot water, there is a large amount of noise and banging and the hot water flow starts to slow until it is basically stopped? Any thoughts anyone? No problems with any other taps in the house. Thanks, Scott

    Hey Scott,
when I turn on the hot water, there is a large amount of noise and banging and the hot water flow starts to slow until it is basically stopped?
Sounds like you may have a obstruction in the supply or valve.
What's the brand mane? Is it one handle or two knobs?
Your solution would be to shut the water off at the angle stops and open up the valve, Check the inlet of the cartridge for trash if it's a one handle jobby.
Now place a [an over the open valve and turn the water back on to flush out the supplies . Good luck, Tom
