If by injection you mean depo, well I'm afraid you have to wait for the jab to leave your system this differs in many women can take weeks months or years.

OK, I was on depo for only six months, and stopped after that because I didn't like the side effects. (made me sick all the time, lots of stomach pains, and painful intercourse, headaches, slight depression, and bone density loss. I lost a full shoe size and half an inch of my height, also made my teeth chip a little bit. )also, I did a lot of research on the shot after I got off, and I found that it can take up to 18 months to get pregnant again. It also depends on how long you were on the shot. They told me not to expect to get pregnant for at least 12 months after the shot. It takes a while for it to get out of your system, and for your body to get back into the grove of things. It literally puts your body in a post menopausal state. If you are not taking calcium, or anything, I would definitely suggest that you start taking some. Better yet, I would suggest a prenatal vitamin, and just taking half the dose. The shot can deplete you of certain essentals, and taking a prenatal will help. And when you get pregnant, you will have had a healthy start for the baby, having been taking prenatals. I would talk to your doctor about wanting to get pregnant after the shot, get a full physical exam, and make sure everything is in order to start trying. Good luck
