    A two year old little girl
    My aunt has been taking care a little girl that is now two years old and her bilogical mother has not seen her in almost 4 months and now the dhs is trying to take all of the mothers kids which range from 6months old to 7 years old and the mother has not gave anything to my aunt or she has not even called to check on the girl the mother is on drugs can my aunt file abandament charges against the mother?

    No, it's not that simple, and what proof does she have of any abandonment vs. a caretaking arrangement? None. And she's not even a relative. She should apply to be a foster parent ASAP if she has any hope of taking care of the child, even temporarily.

    Hello sarah:

    What does your aunt hope to accomplish by doing that? In fact, it will do NOTHING but cause MORE problems for the mother... I don't know WHY your aunt would want to do that.
