    I have highlighted blonde hair
    I have highlighted blonde hair, (naturally burnette) I want to dye it bck to a nice dark red I've had before, but will I need to do my roots first and work to ends? As roots have began to come through the blonde?

A friend highlighted my kind of thin,light brown hair last night. The color is fine, but the streaks are so wide it looks more like all over color rather than highlights. I wanting something more subtle and natural looking. Any suggestions? Thanks.
