I am 36 years old and my husband and I have been trying for about 8 months trying to get pregnant. This month, I was four days late getting my period, then it came but the flow was very different and the length was actually a lot shorter. I usually bleed for 5 days with some spotting before and after, but this month it was 1 day of spotting and about 2.5 days of bleeding, then 1 more day of spotting. I have been very tired and emotional lately, my breasts are tender, I have been nauseaus and dizzy, and I am feeling pains in my pelvis, that feels like my sides are stretching. I took a couple of pregnancy tests but they were negative, could I still be pregnant, could it be an eptopic pregnancy? I have been feeling this way for about a week after I ovulated. I feel as if I am starting to lose my mind. I would have thought the pregnancy test would have been positive, but since they came out negative, my husband I have decided to get fertility testing...

Fertility testing would be a good idea since it has been 8 months, but you could also try another test in about a week, or see your doctor about having a blood test done. Sometimes urine tests do not pick up pregnancy for a few weeks. Good luck!
