Hot water won't turn on in my tub?
We live in a mobile home all the other water sources work only the hot water will not turn on in my bath tub. It's a garden style tub (the kind that's like 24-30in deep). Cold water works fine, hot water in 3dif sinks, other tub and shower all work.Heat tape is plugged in also.

When did the problem start, just recently during a cold snap? Can you get access to the piping under the home?

Would your tub valve be one handle or two knobs? Does it have a brand name? Back to you, Tom

It has 2 knobs. The problem started in the last couple days.No idea the brand. All the rest of the faucets work even the cold on the tub just not the hot.

I am having the Same problem. Our pipes were froze this morning because we didn't plug in our heat tape but now everything is working fine except the hot water in the bath tub (cold works in bath tub tho) and we have had the blow dryer directy on the pipes for an hour now thinking it may be frozen still locally. Please help! Our knobs are two separate knobs too.

I live in a mobile home also.

Okay, so as soon as I posted this, the water came on! We just kept applying heat with the hair dryer and it started pouring out! Best of luck to you!

Turn the water off to the trailer and open up the hot side of the valve,(see image) by removing the knob and backing the hot water stem and washer out a few turns, Now unscrew the large nut closest to the valve body, After the retaining nut is unscrewed you can back the stem out counterclockwise. Now go outside and turn the water back on for aminuteto flush out the supply. If you get a strong stream out of the hot side reassemble the stem and try it now. If you don't get any water when you pressure up the trailer click on back and tell us, Good luck, Tom
