    Deadbeat Brother
    Hello,
I'm renting a 2 bedroom house, and my brother is living with me, he has helped with the bills when he can (he is unemployed) but we've been here 4 months, and he has helped with a total of $500, less than 1 months rent. I have urged him to find a job, even went out on my own to pick up applications for him, but he won't apply, stating "I'm not walking to work in the winter" (he has no car, and I have a work truck). Also, he does no cleaning of any kind, and complains when I don't clean, even though I'm working 40+ hours a week. So I've been paying all the bills for the house, and I put him on my cell phone plan, to help out my mother, and I'm tired of him sitting at home, or at his friend's house, and playing video games. So, should I evict him, and if so how? Or what other course of action can I take?

Is he on the lease ?

Is this in the US, and if so, what state.

If he is not on the lease, you can notify him to move and evict him if he does not

You can evict him and be sure to follow the local laws of your area. Maybe that will be his wake up call.
