My dog won't stop shaking her ears
My dog won't stop shaking her ears, I took her to the vet and he said its not infected just irritated. The drops he gave me haven't seemed to help at all. What could it be? She recently got diagnosed with tracheal collapse and this ear thing keeps triggering coughing outbursts, help!

Did the vet stick a qtip down the ear canal and look at it under the microscope to ensure it's not an infection?
    I would go back.

I don't know what he did, he took her in the back and looked at her ear drums and said they were irritated but attached. I have other ointment for an ear infection at another time and it is no working either

Call them in the morning and ask if they actually did an ear swab.

Ya I agree with Saris, sounds like an ear infection. I would ask for a swab to be done, or at the very least anti biotic drops.

Could be ear mites rather than infection.

Good point, but I would sure hope the vet would have seen that when he took him back for the exam! Sometimes ear/nose/throat infection can lay a little more hidden than ear mites tend to.

Could also be a neurological issue...

I took her to a new vet today and they did an ear swab which revealed nothing. No mites, no infection, nothing caught in there, and no yeast infection. I have antibiotics to treat for infection, but its not doing anything.

It could be allergies then. Have you considered changing foods? Have you switched cleaning products or laundry detergents? Some times dogs can develop allergies seemingly over night.

Did the vets look at her teeth and throat? Is she still continuing to shake her ears?

Ahhh, allergies. My dogs did this until I started giving them some Chlortabs. Yes, they were recommended by my vet and I give it every evening and they are itch and ear shaking free.
