German shepherd won't eat but, every once in awhile raw meat
I have a german shepherd and she won't eat and is limping but, will drink and all she wants to do is lay around. We just brought her in the house a week ago, she has been outside for a year now. What could be wrong with her PLEASE HELP?? She keeps licking her vaginal area and panting. What could be wrong? And is there a home remedy?? We don't have the money to go to a vet :0(

Is she spayed? She could have something like a urinary tract infection, or something worse like pyometra (where basically the uterus fills with pus - this is a death sentence if not treated).
You are going to need to scrounge the money together to take the dog to the vet. You owe it that much.

At least get some advice, but chances are they will want to see her. Can you tell if there is any discharge, or a strong smell to her urine?

Hey sariss,
Well, she had her surgery Monday and wow what a big difference 5 days made. She's such a happy dog now and wow the energy she's got lol... But, she's finally having fun with the kids and loving being inside. So, I guess were going to let her stay inside, she's so smart. :0) However, I have one other question for you. When she went to the vet and she came back home she has been non stop itching. She never did that before. I am assuming she got fleas from the vets office by the way she's itching but, what I want to know is... HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT TO GIVE HER A FLEA BATH BECAUSE OF HER INCISION AND STAPLES??

She got spayed monday and must of gotten fleas from the vets because, i have a cat too and hes not doing anything at all. I have used spray on her that you rub in and a flea collar but, it's a continuous thing for her since she's returned home. I am wanting to give her a flea bath but the doctor didn't say if we could or couldn't give her a bath. I just don't want to hurt her.

Don't give her a flea bath... they are pretty useless, they only kill the fleas on the body at the time.
Use a spot on treatment. They are drops you apply to the back of a dogs neck and work for up to a month. Any fleas that jump on the body during that month are killed as soon as they bite.
You MUST keep the stitches dry until they come out (2 weeks generally) any moisture on the skin around the stitches can cause the skin to soften and tear.
If you notice some weeping (clear or pink fluid) just dab with a dry cloth.
If you see any excess redness or discharge that is abnormal (green, yellow etc) then it's back to the vet.
