My ex & me got a car together and he destroyed my things totalling $1221. I only have texts of him admitting he destroyed my things. January 2nd I have the court date, already went through Mediation. I do not have the money for a lawyer since Im 19, working, paying rent and all. The Mediator we went to said the Judge will not do anything since all I have is texts admitting he destroyed my stuff plus my word against his, so the mediator only granted the car to me, and then told me I will have a court date if he does not give me my things in a timely manner. He told the mediator he will fix the radiator so it is drivable, even though he was also the one to blow the head gasket, but I won't see money for that. I have a restraining order on him and they told me I can contact him only about the car if around someone who listens to our conversations. Well, I contacted him and he told me Saturday the radiator will be done. So, I contacted him Saturday then he said its not fixed, he is too busy when my friends were already at my house taken time from there day to help me. He then tells me I also need to contact his Uncle and his Uncle calls me telling me I need to work on HIS schedule Monday - Friday to get the car, which I work then! So basically this is a game and they are trying to get on my nerves and I know this game way too well because he tried doing the same thing only in a different way to me when we were dating. So now I want the car, and also to sue him for the things he destroyed but the mediator sort of scared me saying I do not have enough evidence, yet my ex is not cooperating and lying and doing the same things he used to when we dated. The mediator granted me the car, which I can't even get now, but I also want compensated for what he destroyed but like I said, the Mediator scared me into thinking the Judge will not do anything. He destroyed my cell phone, clothes and my old cars windshield, which I sold the car for less then the value since the windshield was busted, and all I have is the texts from him admitting this.
