    Tax question
I worked in NY but moved to another country in June. I continued to have income from NY until now. I know federal taxes are not affected. How about state and city taxes? Do I pay those? Is there such a thing as "partial resident in NYS"?

    Thank you

If you are considered resident of NY, you will pay NY tax even on foreign income.
If your stay away from NY is temporary or transitory, you will pay NY state tax. Your U.S. Tax Return: Working or Living in Two or More states
