    Spark under lawn tractor seat engine won't turn?
    MTD tractor started up with a small spark under seat. Contiuned to drive a few feet and stop. Tried to start engine up again and there was another spark. This time the engine did not start. Where do I need to start looking?

    There is a safety switch under your seat designed to kill the engine if you get off while the engine is running. Check the wires running to the switch for a fray or pinch mark, maybe at the spring.

    Check your battery connections , I believe its under the seat also,

    There is a plug under seat for safety reasons try unplugging it and plugging it back in it will not run with it unplugged.
