My Dimmer Switch isn't working! HELP!
O.K so I have 3 spotlights in my bedroom which I originally controlled with a normall switch, no problem!
After strong persuasion from my other half I brought a dimmer switch! Took me all of 2mins to wire it up, worked no problem. You push it in to turn lights on off, and turn to adjust brightness.

    SO,

We were lying down watching telly the other night, the lights were on full brightness and with a pop/flash one of the bulbs blew. This tripped the fuse out for the upstairs lights circit. I replaced the bulb but now the dimmer switch doesn't work. It'll still turn the lights on/off no problem. But I can't adjust the brightness!! I've taken the switch off the walla and had a look and all seems fine.

    Any advice??

The dimmer is an electronic device, and cannot handle the inrush current of a short circuit, so time for a replacement.

Try replacing switch. If that does not work the problem could be with the fixture that popped
