    Heat pump problems
With my heat pump in the heating mode my compresser sometimes will not cut off when the inside air handler stops running, until I switch the thermostat to off. Also, when the I turn the unit back on the heat is unusually warm, as though heat is coming from my aux. heating elements instead of the normal heat pump heating cycle. This is happening when currently the temperature it is not very cold outside, and shouldn't be using the aux. heating elements. Also, my inside fan will will not run in manual mode like it used to, when I have neither the heat or cool selected.

This is a year old R-22, 13seer Goodman compressor unit, and a 10 year old Janitrol inside unit. Could this be the reason I'm having problems.
