Does a floor drain needs vent pipe?
Does a floor drain needs vent pipe the same as what does common sink and bath tub drain? Please support your answer and opinion by any plumbing code or any standards.

In my area (SPC) floor drains are the only fixture that DOES NOT require a vent.
A sink drain requires a vent and a bathtub connects to the lavatory drain and is wet vented by it. Having said that, some codes require both a vent and a trap primer on floor drains.
Does this answer your questions? Regards, Tom

    Thanks for the immediate reply.
I ask this question because it makes me confuse that all the drain fixtures are connected to a common vent except only for floor drain who only have p-trap.
