Seeking title of 80s anime movie
When I was a kid- only 9 or 10 at the time (late eighties, maybe 1990), I saw an anime that has been haunting my memory. There is one scene vivid in my mind: There's a group of futuristic soldiers (mercenaries?) and some of them are taken prisoner. They are about to be taken away on a helicopter when one of the burly squad mates anchors his feat into these hooks and hooks a chain up to one of the helicopters rails. As the helicopter is trying to fly away, with all his might, he is pulling the helicopter back to the ground with the chain. The enemies on board begin to fire at him. Even after a couple of rounds to the body, he heroically continues to pull the helicopter down. A few more shots later and he is killed, losing his grip of the chain and the enemies get away. It was epic and it is all I remember. Does anyone know what movie this was? I want to see it again more than anything!
