    Hi,
    The left wheel has a lockout to make the machine moveable without the engine. Please refer to the manual at:
    Owner's Manual - CRAFTSMAN Snowthrower, Gas 536881112 - ManageMyLife.com
    And go to page 14 at the top and figure 17.
