    How to change 200amp service to a 400amp service for a house?
    Yes I'm adding a shop in my yard and the power co said they could put a 400 amp service out there I would have to get a disconeect explainb please

    Call two or three electricians and get quotes. Pick the guy you are most comfortable with.

    I am curious why a 400 amp service. My son runs a welding shop and he only has 200 amp service.
