    401K Help, PLEASE!
My previous employer no longer exists and I do not know who my 401K plan was with. There is no one to contact to get this info. I previously took a draw and need the statement to file my 2008 taxes. Where can I find this information. Thank you.

You need to get in touch with the plan administator, who should have sent you a 1099-R form in early 2009 that documented your withdrawal in 2008. The administrator is NOT the same as your former employer, but rather is a bank, insurance company, or investment house like Fidelity or Vanguard whom your employer hired to administer their employees' accounts. They should have been sending you statements quarterly, unless you opted for paperless on-line access only. So first thing to do is look through your records and see if you can find any old mailings from the administrator. If you have lost all records, then I would suggest talking to someone who used to work at the same company and see if they know who the admin is.
