    My Daschund
Hi, my daschund has been suffering from what looks to be his ear's being eaten away. It has gotten worse over the last 3 days, and now it is bleeding. He doesn't seem to notice and I don't think it is effecting him in any way. He is still the same little man. He also is losing hair around his neck and his tail. I was wondering if anyone would now what it could be, or how to treat it. Thank you, Jessica

It was a mistake to let this go into the weekend. He really needs to see the vet.

It could be an infection, parasites, or even a poor diet. If he is getting too little dog food and too much other stuff, it could cause problems. Most dogs will thrive on most dog chows. We have others here that know more about medicine than I do, but no posts from them today.

I am slow to suggest medicating a dog yourself. I don't know much to do before Monday. Unless he is losing a lot of blood, I don't think it is an emergency.

He isn't losing any blood at the moment it's scabbed over. Thank you so much for your help and advice... I will be sure to let you know what it is when I see the vet... Take care, From Jess
